Developing our youths’ 21st century job placement and career skills
The Youth Career Program (YCP) in Newport News provides essential career exploration and work experience.
Targeted at two groups—youth aged 16-17 and young adults aged 18-24—YCP facilitates the discovery of passions and the development of career paths.
To be eligible for the YCP program, applicants must:
1. Reside in Newport News,
2. Possess a valid ID from Newport News Public School, State of Virginia or present other accepted documentation,
3. Successfully complete application process,
4. If under 18, provide parent or guardian consent via a signed form.
